Refill or replace?
It’s the big question when it comes to propane tanks. Replacing – or exchanging – your tank is certainly convenient, but we’d argue that getting it refilled is more economical.
When you exchange a propane tank, there’s no way of knowing with complete certainty that you’re getting back a full tank. You may end up with a 20-pound tank that only contains 15 pounds of gas.
That’s because the transportation and storage rules for propane tanks prevent exchanges from completing filling a 20 pound tank.
But when you have your tank refilled, you can be sure that it’s been refilled to the full amount. You won’t have to worry about paying for 20 pounds of propane but going home with just 15.
At Yardville Supply, we make propane refills even more economical with our propane loyalty program. For every five 20 pound tanks you refill, we’ll give you a sixth refill for free.
